Pixel Canvas

The game

Pixel Canvas is a live pixel war.

pixelcanvas.app is the live board. It is not a screenshot, not a newsletter, and not a once-a-year Reddit event. Four banners share one canvas. Paint claims ash on your border. Troops take enemy tiles. Energy regenerates. The season is First Blood.

What you are looking at

A 256×256 world sharded in a Cloudflare Durable Object, painted in real time over WebSockets. Ember, Tide, Thorn and Volt each spawn in a corner. The centre is the crucible — unowned ash until someone walks a scout in.

This site used to be a collaborative pixel-art landing page that pointed at another origin. That origin died (HTTP 522). The war now runs on the apex domain so search engines, players, and crawlers hit one live game.

Who it is for

People who missed r/place and wanted it to never end. People who want a browser MMO that loads in a tab. Pixel artists who want a live board plus how-to guides. Strategy players who want a front line, not a cooldown clicker.

Questions people actually type

Is Pixel Canvas free?

Yes. You join as a guest warden, pick a faction, and play. Commander and gold are optional.

Do I need an account?

No login wall. A private cookie remembers your warden. Paying via Stripe attaches a customer id if you want Commander.

Is this r/place?

No. r/place is a timed Reddit event. Pixel Canvas is always on, territorial, and has troops. See our r/place alternative page.
